~The Process~
Exploratory discussion
The process starts with an exploratory discussion with the client.
Design phase
If the client wishes to move on to the design phase, I require a non-refundable deposit. While I design, I take account of any suggestions the client has made regarding content
or general atmosphere.
I discuss the proposed design with the client. This may result in some changes.
By this time I am usually able to quote a firm price for the work.
If the client has already specified a project budget, this is taken into
consideration during design.
Fabrication
When the design is approved and the price agreed, I schedule the
fabrication of the artwork.
If the client is in the area, I welcome visits to see the work in progress.
You can see your stained glass when it is finished, before shipping.
I will send you a picture via email.
~Prices~
The price of the work depends on an estimate of the time it will take to build and the cost of materials. Time is the major component.
It is determined by the design and size of the work.
Only estimated prices can be given until the design phase has been finalized. At this time we can give a firm price.
It is typical to price according to square footage and/or the number of pieces of glass; however, large, simple panels are easier to make than smaller intricate ones. So there is no formula. Tell us what you are hoping to spend and we will show you what can be done (or not!). We won't make a piece not considered beautiful or artistic. After all, our reputation is on the line. Most good stained glass artists charge, on an average, $85 to $125 per square foot if you must have some numbers.
Additional costs include shipping (insured), installation and applicable sales taxes.
Prices are quoted in US dollars.
I accept certified check, money order and C.O.D.
~Delivery Date~
Delivery dates may vary depending on the item requesting. A realistic estimated time of
arrival will depend at that time on my current work schedule.
~Ordering Pet Portraits~
We will need two photos of your pet, you can either email
or use regular snail mail to post it to us. Also what breed of dog you have.
All photos will be returned on shipment of Stained Glass.
